RECRUITMENT, SELECTION AND EMPLOYMENT PROCEDURE CHECKLIST

  1. Completion of application form: to obtain personal details and assess writing skills.
  2. Interview: assessing presentation, communication skills, suitability, level and areas of experience: level of fluency in spoken English Language.
  3. Verification of NMC Pin during interview. Telephone check to confirm Personal Identification Number with UKCC followed by a written request for confirmation that the nurse is eligible to practice.
  4. NMC PIN CARD and statement of Entry confirmation.
  5. Passport, birth certificate or drivers license for identification purposes – 3 recent passport photographs
  6. Work permit and passport
  7. Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Enhanced Disclosure
  8. National Insurance Number
  9. Full Curriculum Vitae
  10. Relevant Educational Certificates
  11. Two professional healthcare references
  12. Proof of address (utility bill)
  13. Immunisation/vaccination documentation: e.g. Hepatitis B, Tetanus, Rubella, TB)
  14. Completion of Health Questionnaire
  15. Statutory training assessment: e.g. Health&Safety, Manual Handling, management of aggression, Mental Health Act Update and Fire Training
