Field Care Supervisor

Full Time Working Hours (8:30-17:30 Mon-Fri)

Rate- up to £25000 per annum

Location: 179-181 Streatham Road, Mitcham, CR4 2AG

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team of Field Care Supervisors (FCS), working with an established client base in a community setting. The successful FCS would have at least 1 years’ experience supervising care in a community setting; have a full UK driving license and a sense of commitment to providing an outstanding service to our users.

Could this be the right role for me?

We are looking for an experienced FCS who is ready to step up into a new kind of role. Rainbow Medical Services provides nursing and care support to people in their own homes who have many and varied complex health issues. The FCS will work with a team of nurses who will manage the clinical support of these clients. The FCS will be responsible for supervising experience supervising care in a community setting. The successful candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience within care and be proficient with in the use of basic IT systems such as Microsoft Word. It is essential that the applicant has a full UK driving license although as this role will have the use of company vehicles if needed, so car ownership is not essential.

What will my new role involve?

You will work mostly in the community alongside our nurse case managers, providing practical supervision and instruction to our support workers and clinical staff. You will be instrumental in providing support and guidance to staff in the field and delivering an outstanding quality of care to our clients. You will be supported and guided by our nurse case management team. You will work with a friendly and enthusiastic care co-ordinations team, dedicated On Call staff and an exceptional Registered Manager.

The successful applicant

You will be an enthusiastic and committed FCS with excellent communication skills, an individual who is committed to the delivery of high quality patient care at all times. You may be considering nursing as a career in the future and this role will give you invaluable experience. Previous holders of these posts are now qualified nurses.

Main responsibilities:

  • To work closely with the RGN case management team to ensure that their clinical direction is followed by staff.
  • To liaise closely with Care Coordinators regarding the selection and placement of staff into teams for new clients
  • To be involved in the practical induction of all new Care & Support Workers.
  • To monitor, supervise and mentor all Care & Support Workers in the field.
  • To be involved with the RGN case managers, carrying our client reviews and risk assessments.
  • To monitor all clients for service and Care & Support Worker satisfaction.
  • To build good relationships with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) that each client has.
  • Be Responsible for the efficient running of your own specific, defined areas and effectively monitor and support all Care & Support Workers.
  • To introduce staff to clients when they visit for the first time.
